To begin, the standard definition of splicing in optical fiber is joining two fiber optic cables together. The other, more common, method of joining fibers is called termination. In 1994, Jorge Marquez started working in the cabling industry with the purpose of one day owning his
own company. Slowly he started saving money and in 1998 he made his first investment of purchasing a
couple of tools and did his first job for $200, which he invested to purchase more tools. He continued
working with different contractors and started making a name for himself, as a hard worker, honest, and
reliable contractor.
